Could you tell me what '' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' is exactly ! It is a family and friends board game, but still ?

'' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' could resemble the game '' snake and ladders '' but in '' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' you can choose to go either forward or backward... Or '' Trivial Pursuit '' because there are questions to answer... But it is primarily strategic because each one must find his own way to play... And what is funny is that you will never find two people that play the same way : The characters in the game are alive because defined by adjectives, names, birth dates and occupations ; each player will have to build his family and get a key to end the game.
It begins softly and goes crescendo throughout the game to finish in an outright joke... Everyone playing in the toy librairies, fairs, festials... Love it... This is very revealing of the character of each, there is much fun and you learn at once !
So that internet users and future players get a good glimpse of our game, can you tell them what motivated our choices ?
Create, play, share, laugh, learn, open oneself to the world and discover its 5 continents, discover how the Earth works, its mysteries, its stories, customs, tastes, languages and more. An important thing is that children and parents can play together, that the game is beautiful, and that we share a common adventure with all of you in self producing the game.
What was our idea to raise money to print our first 800 copies ?
'' Creative 2012 '' that is '' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' but with different cards and characters so that there is no redundancy in case players want to buy both '' Creative 2012 '' and '' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' . There are also donations that anyone can make from 1€... And all the information, adresses, phone numbers, newspapers, networks in which each of us adheres that can help us, either to publish an article, advertise, give us ideas...
What is the difference between '' Creative 2012 '' and '' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' ?
'' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' is the game as we have designed it from the beginning and described in this interview. So that we can print it we nedd 15.720€. To do this, we created '' Creative 2012 '' a Cd-Rom in which everyone can find the following information : Worksheets to make your own game, naturel glue and paint recipes, tips and much more.
I know there are many people who wonder why this title ?
2012 :
Because if you add 2+0+1+2=5. In the humanist numerology, 5 represents energy, experience, the game, freedom, curiosity, the move, the han... In '' 2012 '' the Mayan calendar will stop, we believe that this will automatically lead to the beginning of something else. It's life changing like everything else in the world.
Because it is indeed a journey of wealth and adventure that we share with you.
Odyssey :
Because it is the foundation of our being. Without the family we can not exist, grow, evolve and become.

Who thought, created, found the questions, information and graphics of this game ?
The 2 of us since 2002, it is our collective work often at distance (thanks to internet), our complicity, common vision of life and especially the goal we had set ourselves, which has allowed the creation of this game. Today it is time to share and see with a lot of confidence what life wants for us. Of course throughout our journey amazing people have helped us to accomplish our goal.
How will the game be printed ?
We have chosen a printing shop with an eco-label (IOV Communication) located in Morbihan (Brittany France). The paper is recycled and the inks vegetable. Pawns and dice are made of wood.
Will part of the funds raised go to an association ?
Yes, 1% of the money collected will go to AFAR (French speaking Alliance for Respected Childbirth), in addition to providing information, support and defend the freedoms of choice, their task is to organize the World week for respected childbirth (SMAR). Again it seemed essential to help those who help to give life respectfully leaving the choice to parents to give birth as they wish.
What actions are coming up so that the public can discover our game ?
Fairs, festivals, the week of International Solidarity in Rennes from November 14th to 21rst, many christmas markets, a newsletter '' 2012, The friendly Odyssey '' will be sent every 2 months. Our website is constantly evolving, videos (coming soon) to understanding how unique and special '' 2012, The Family Odyssey® '' is and many other things.
Is there a special message to deliver before we separate ?
Yes, thank you for you moral, financial and friendly support. All your ideas allow us to move in the right direction, we give appointment to all children from 9 years up to 109 years old and more.
